Ringrose Public School
Solar Case Study
This Greystanes NSW primary school is based on the principles of wellness and inclusivity. It encourages students to feel part of the community through various means and measures, not least of which is the wearing of a carefully designed uniform that espouses diversity and inclusiveness.
It also operates a wellness-centred school canteen that aims to empower students to make healthy food choices. Its facilities are open for use of parents and other community members as well for their activities if these do not disrupt school and teaching activities.
Although relatively modest in size, the solar system covers the electricity needs of the administration department and offsets the energy use of the canteen’s cold storage and cooking facilities. Those fresh and healthy meal alternatives for students are always cheap to prepare!
Their system was installed on March 27, 2019.
